Sharing Your Story

You can inspire others and promote change by sharing your story with us. Tell us about your personal experiences, challenges, or simply why you chose to become an advocate for home care.

Sharing stories is one of the most powerful ways of influencing policy decisions. A story puts a face on home health care and gives it a voice. There are many ways to tell stories to help lawmakers better understand the value of home health care—and how it affects real people.

Attending Events

All advocates are invited to join us in-person during our advocacy days at your state capitol, where we meet with state representatives to discuss the future of home care.

We also offer virtual events lead by our Grassroots Advocacy Team and other H4HC Team Leaders. You can join like-minded people during our educational and leadership seminars, and learn more about advocacy and the needs of caregivers and their clients.

Online Training

Every month we invite our advocates to participate in educational webinars on a range of advocacy topics. We also encourage advocates to request specific training topics and offer 1:1 trainings to better support our community.

Whether you’re new to home care advocacy or a long-time champion of our issues, we’re excited to have you as part of our movement. Every advocate has their own unique experiences, passions, and skills to offer, and our H4HC Grassroots Advocacy Team is here to help you feel comfortable, confident, and empowered throughout your advocacy journey.
